Junior and family program
We designed this program to increase physical fitness and flexibility, while building character and teaching self-defense. Students progress from belt to belt on their journey to Black Belt, all in this fun and action packed class for children and parents alike.
This program is designed for ages 7 and up.
“My kid is crazy about Karate Works (thanks to teachers & staff). The way they work with kids is totally different. My kid used to be in Lil Dragons . He loves it. He had so much fun as well as he learned. Now he moved to Junior. Karate Works helps him in every way.”

“The Karate Works staff is amazing! From the admins that are so friendly and helpful to the instructors that pour their hearts into every student. Karate Works makes a real effort to connect with our families and provide each student with words of encouragement to help them be their very best. “

“I had no idea when my kids first visited Karate Works how much our lives would change. For my children, they loved the structure and confidence they got from learning how to discipline their body. For myself, I was surprised at how much comfort I took in knowing that they could defend themselves. It gave me the courage to let them attend other types of events without my direct supervision.”

“My kids and I have been taking classes at Karate Works for years. We love going, and Karate Works helps us stay active.”

“Karate has been a big help in our home. I love that my kids are learning self-defense, respect, self-control, and so many other great skills in addition to strengthening their bodies. The full Karate Works family is incredibly welcoming and helpful and we are glad to be a part of it.”
- Cheryl Jensen
“The juniors program has helped my son grow in character, and taught him valuable self defense techniques in a positive, encouraging environment!”

“Karate Works has impacted our family in such a way that I don’t know if there will ever be a way to say thank you enough. Our children have gained so much from the instructors and the art of martial arts. They have gained confidence, learned humility and perseverance when challenged, been able to tap into that sense of accomplishment that only discipline can acquire, and so much more. Karate Works invests in the lives of each student and you can clearly see the sense of responsibility they take on for each child. Mr. Holcomb and Mr. Greg are not only teaching our children how to protect themselves but how to build their character in a way we, as parents, are very grateful for.
I realize there are so many studios to choose from, and we did our due diligence visiting and checking them out. But Karate Works is unique, as it has an established record of honorable instructors who grace their teaching with building great moral character. It was evident from our first intro class and here we are, 3 years in, and we are so glad we chose this studio.
- They say “you don’t GET a black belt, you BECOME a black belt” and we are thankful we’re making that journey with Karate Works.”
- The Boldt family (Scott & Jill)
“Myself, son and daughter have attended Karate Works as a family since 2013. Since then, the staff and the other students we've trained with over the years have become our family. This is a studio, that not only produces high quality martial artists, but first and foremost, puts a priority on what it means to be a person of unwavering integrity inside and more importantly, outside of the Dojo in everyday life. Our journey started as white belts, looking for an alternative to physical therapy for our special needs son. After trying out several studios prior, it was immediately clear, we had landed in a place that would embrace our challenge with open arms. Mr. Holcomb and Mr. Pfitzner, both went above and beyond, breaking down and creating unconventional training methods to assure our son could understand and learn the material. Because of that dedication, a boy that wasn't supposed to be able to walk, jump or play, was quickly gaining physical strength, coordination, advancing through belt ranks and breaking boards. (yes, breaking boards!!!). Over the years, we've advanced in belt levels and gained valuable physical skills, but above all, we will always be grateful for what we've learned and gained off the mat.”

“The discipline that is taught in the Junior class at Karate Works is honestly so rewarding when you see your kids in other activities outside of Karate. How they react to winning and losing and treat others makes me proud to say my kids were taught that at Karate Works!”
- Maida Glasgow
“We had a hard time finding a martial arts studio that would teach discipline without being demeaning, but now we have. The teachers here are engaging and fun, but still teach self defense with discipline. They are understanding and actually know how to deal with kids. In my son's words 'We love it here'!"
